Debrief a meeting
Tell Birdie what happened and it captures every change for your CRM, while you walk to the car.
How to debrief
A debrief is you telling Birdie what happened, usually several facts in one breath. You do not need to say "update the deal" or "create a contact". Just tell the story.
"Just came off the call with Kestrel. They've pushed the close to November, budget's confirmed at forty grand, and Dana Lee is the new CFO. I need to send her the pricing deck by Thursday."
Birdie will:
- put the Kestrel deal on screen and change its close date,
- set the budget,
- show Dana Lee as a contact, with her job title and a link to Kestrel,
- create a task, Send Dana the pricing deck, due Thursday.
Every person or company you name goes on screen in the same turn, so you can see Birdie heard it right.
Debrief from your calendar
If you connected a calendar, meetings that have ended appear on Home in the Debrief card.
- Tap one meeting to debrief it, or tap Debrief to go through them all, one at a time. Say "skip that one" to move on.
- Birdie opens by naming the meeting and asking how it went.
- Once you have spoken in that session, the meeting leaves the Debrief card on all your devices.
- Not going to debrief a meeting? Tap the ✕ on the card to dismiss it.
Debrief from your meeting notes
If you connected a note-taker like Granola, Birdie starts from the meeting's recap instead of a blank page:
- It puts the deal up and fills in what the recap states outright, such as a new stage or close date.
- It turns each follow-up in the recap into a task.
- It asks you one question about what the recap leaves open, usually the next step.
You only fill the gaps. Birdie does not read the recap back to you.

:::tip Changes wait for you Nothing from a debrief reaches your CRM until you push it from Home. Got something wrong? Say "no, it's thirty-five, not fifty" during the session, or fix it on the review card afterwards. :::
